About Mrs. Franklin

Greetings! I'm so excited to be the K-2 counselor here at Roy Waldron Elementary School. I have been a school counselor for 21 years. 17 of those years have been at the elementary level where I won Teacher of the Year in 2021.

I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee. I moved to middle Tennessee for college and decided to stay after I graduated.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology/Communication, a Master's degree in School Counseling, an Ed.S in educational leadership, and I am a doctoral Candidate at Tennessee State University where I hope to complete my studies in Educational Leadership.

I have an amazing husband, an 18-year-old daughter that is a high school senior, and a 20-year-old son. I also have two adult bonus children.

When I'm not at school I enjoy, studying the bible, working with children at my church, and line dancing.
