Roy Waldron Elementary School hosted a coat giveaway for students and their families Friday.
The giveaway was coordinated by Assistant Principal Jershua Brandon-Martin. Staff at the school collected more than 300 coats, jackets and sweaters in addition to winter essentials like hats and gloves.
“As it gets colder, we want to make sure everyone is warm and that no one goes without,” Brandon-Martin said.
